Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to Hungary
H.E. Elizabeth Ellison-Kramer is the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to Hungary (since 6 February 2017) and Permanent Representative of Austria to the Danube Commission. Between 2011 and 2016 she was the Deputy Director General of the Section “Service” (Legal and Consular Affairs). She functioned as the Head of Department for Legal Protection, Legal and Administrative Cooperation, General Legal Affairs (2010-2016) and as the Consul General at the Austrian Consulate General Strasbourg and also, as the Deputy Permanent Representative at the Austrian Permanent Representation to the Council of Europe (2006-2010). Between 2002 and 2006 she worked as Minister Counsellor (Human Rights) at the Austrian Permanent Representation to the United Nations and other International Organizations in Geneva. Additionally, she held positions at the Department for Visa and Border Agreements at the Directorate-General for Legal and Consular Affairs (1999-2002), the Austrian Embassy Helsinki (Deputy Head of Mission, 1994-1999), the Austrian Consulate General Los Angeles (Deputy Head of Mission; Consul, 1991-1994), the Directorate-General for Political Affairs (Department for South Tyrol and Southern Europe, 1991), Austrian Embassy Rome (attaché, 1990-1991) as well as the Directorate-General for Legal and Consular Affairs (1990) and the Department for Multilateral Economic Relations at the Directorate-General for Economic Policy (1989-1990).
